As South-west Leaders Meet on Impasse, Oyegun Picks Friday for Rescheduled Ekiti APC Primaries

As the leadership of the South-west All Progressives Congress (APC) was engaged meeting at the Lagos State Governor’s Lodge, Asokoro to resolve the problem over Ekiti State primaries of the party, the APC National Headquarters has released new date for the disrupted primary elections in the state.
The primary will now hold on Friday May 11, according to the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi.
The emergency meeting of the APC leadership attended by all the 33 aspirants and the party leaders later adjourned to reconvene later.
Leaders at the meeting included Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Chief Bisi Akande, Chief Segun Osoba, Chief Pius Akinyelure and Otunba Niyi Adebayo.
The primaries held last Saturday was disrupted after dozens of aspirants alleged rigging by former governor Kayode Fayemi, one of the aspirants.
