The National Leader, All Progressives Congress (APC),Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, and former Interim Chairman of the party, Chief Bisi Akande, on Monday night visited President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House Presidential Villa.
The duo met with the president for over one hour.
Speaking with the NTA State House Correspondent after the visit, Asiwaju Tinubu said it was a routine visit to exchange ideas with President Buhari on the state of the nation.
He said the duo gave the president their ideas about issues and challenges plaguing the country and Buhari thanked them for it.
Tinubu said his relationship with the president has always been cordial and remains so.
Asked why he has not visited the president since last January, he said there are other channels of reaching out to the president which he has deployed and people should be wary of social media reports.
Additionally, he said President Buhari should not be distracted in any way by regular visits so he can concentrate on the responsibilities of the state.
