The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu congratulated former deputy governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and APC governorship candidate in Oyo State in the 2019 election, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, on the attainment of the golden age.
He wished him well in all his endeavours, saying his best is yet to come.
In a congratulatory statement by his Media Office, signed by Mr Tunde Rahman, Asiwaju Tinubu on Monday said: “I join family, friends and associates of prominent accountant, politician and former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, in congratulating him as he attains the golden age.
“Adebayo, who is the grandson of the late Adegoke Adelabu Penkelemi, has achieved a lot at 50. He has done excellently well for himself, family, state and country.
“In the banking world, he was brilliant. In business, he has been a soar-away success. In politics, as APC governorship candidate in Oyo State in the 2019 election, he demonstrated leadership. He subscribed fully to the progressive ideals and showed he understood what party loyalty meant. He was also loyal to his mentor and leader, late Senator Abiola Ajimobi.
“Although the outcome of that election proved to be a little setback, I believe the best of Adelabu is yet to come.
“I wish Adebayo, the Agbaakin Parakoyi of Ibadanland, a most memorable 50th birthday. I pray that Almighty Allah grants him many more years, robust health and renewed vigour to continue to positively impact our people and humanity.”
