Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Wednesday said All Progressives Congress National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is hale and hearty.
He said he visited Tinubu in London to ascertain for himself his state of health in the light of rumours about his health.
Governor Sanwo-Olu made this known when he briefed journalists after inaugurating 102 waste trucks at the Lagos State House, Alausa procured by LAWMA.
Sanwo-Olu said: “I went to see our leader Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and I can confirm to you that he is hale and hearty. This is to dispel the rumour going round that he is sick, that is not true.”
Asked when Asiwaju Tinubu would return to Lagos, the governor said he could not say, adding that the APC national leader has the sole right to his movements.
“That I can’t tell, he has the right to decide when to go out of the country and when to return,” the governor said.
His statement had corroborated Asiwaju’s Media Adviser, Tunde Rahman, who had earlier dismissed the rumour about Tinubu’s ill-health, saying there is no truth to it.
