At Presentation of Staff of Office to Olonko of Babaode, Itesiwaju LG Chair Olarinre Seeks Support for Ajimobi

The Chairman of Itesiwaju Local Government Area of Oyo State, Mr. Adeniji Olarinre, has declared that the leadership quality of Governor Abiola Ajimobi has necessitated the call for his re-election.
He made the declaration while welcoming people to the ancient town during the presentation of Staff of Office to Olonko of Babaode, Oba Olorode Olusegun Adeseun, Afolabi 1.
Adeniji stressed that the contributions of the governor are being acknowledged with enthusiasm by the good people of the state.
“Oyo State has become investment-friendly. This is as a result of the efforts being made by the Peoples’ Governor to engineer peaceful co-existence in every nook and cranny of the state. The good thing is that our people know who is on their side. They are able to recognize genuine efforts geared towards developing the state,” he said.
The council boss implored the people of Babaode at home and in the Diaspora to cooperate fully with the new Olonko to fastrack the development of the town.
He assured the Olonko and other traditional rulers that their welfare would be given priority because the All Progressives Congress (APC) viewed them as the custodian of ancient values.
The council boss charged all well-meaning people in the state to support the second term bid of Governor Ajimobi as this was the only way to ensure that the state remained a yardstick for measuring quality performance.
According to him, “the governor is attending to various needs of the people, we now have a clean and well-planned environment,thanks to the urban renewal programme of the governor. Our youths are being gainfully employed,many thanks to the recent recruitment of teachers. Farmers and artisans are not left behind in the empowerment programmes going on in both the state and the local government areas.
The instrument of office was presented to the traditional ruler by the state’s Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Hon. Fatai Buhari.
