The Bagii of Saki, High Chief Adegoke Abdur-Rasheed Adekilutoro has rejoiced with the Oyo state governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde on the occasion of his 52nd birthday.
Bagii, in a Christmas message on Wednesday also congratulated the new Okere-elect, Oba Khalid Oyeniyi Olabisi for his first Christmas on the throne.
He also wished Christian brothers and sisters in Saki, Oke Ogun and Oyo State in general a merry Christmas and prosperous new year in advance.
The message read “I want to use your medium to convey my felicitation to all the christians brothers and sisters and to wish them merry christmas and prosperous new year in advance.
“I also congratulate our dear Okere elect Oba Khalid Oyeniyi Olabisi for his first christmas on the throne of his forebears may he celebrate many more of it on earth. I also wish all the members of Okere-in-council merry christmas.
“I wish Governor Oluseyi Makinde happy new birthday.”
The traditional ruler also enjoyed Christians to see Christmas as a moment of sober reflection and love for others.
“It is a time for tendeness for the past, courage for the present and hope for the future.
“I want to enjoin the christians to see Christmas as a tonic for the souls and let it inspire us to move to think of others rather than ourselves.
“Chistmas should be seen as tendeness for the past; courage for the present and hope for the future.” he said.
