Bello Sacks Cabinet ,Retains SSG in Kogi

Contrary to earlier speculations that Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello has urged the commissioner to submit their hand over notes by 31st December, 2019, the governor has finally dissolved his cabinet.

Bello who disclosed this while briefing Press after the state executive council meeting which took place in Government House Lokoja on Wednesday night, said dissolution became imperative as the first tenure in office was gradually winding up .

The governor explained  that the  dissolution takes immediate effect  as he directed his former cabinet members to handover immediately to most senior officers in their various ministries.

He expressed gratitude to all of  them for serving in his cabinet,  saying he appreciated their efforts as Commissioners while in office.

However, the dissolution has not affected the office the Secretary to the State Government, Mrs. Dr. Folashade Ayoade Arike who will still hold her position until inauguration of new administration on 27th of January 2020 .

Meanwhile ,the Director General Media and Publicity to the governor, Mr. Kingsly Fanwo is now Special Adviser on Information and Communication.

The  former Commissioner for Finance  Aaiwaju Idris Ashiru has been appointed as Special Adviser on Budget and Planning ,while Bello  retained the state Accountant General, Alhaji Momoh Jibril and the State Auditor General Mallam Yakubu Okala and the Chief Press Secretary to the governor Mallam Muhammed Onogu were reinstated.

It will be recalled that the governor earlier sacked all dissolved all his Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants and some boards in November shortly after wining his second term bid.

However the State Governor, Yahaya Bello still remained silence on the fate of the local government councils administrators who are not elected office.
