The Commissioner for Rural Development and Cooperatives in Benue State, Mr. Aondowase Chia has died.
The Commissioner was said to have slumped in his office after presenting the annual budget of his ministry to the state’s Executive Council.
He was rushed to the Benue State Teaching Hospital, Makurdi where he died in the early hours of Wednesday at the age of 46.
His death is coming just few days after he predicted the death of the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Muhammadu Buhari.
Chia had during a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) campaign rally in the state called Buhari ‘quarter to die’.
He is the second commissioner in the ministry to die in office under the administration of Governor Gabriel Suswam.
