Better Days Ahead for Civil Servants, Says Alao-Akala

A support group for the re-election of former
Governor Adebayo Alao-Akala in 2015, Team
Akala, has said that its principal would always
be committed to treating workers better if re-
elected as governor in the forth coming election
in Oyo State.
The group in a statement signed by its
Coordinator, Prince Niran Adeyoju and made
available to newsmen on Sunday said workers
deserved better treatment.
“It is quite unimaginable that majority of the
entire workforce in the state could not
celebrate Christmas as desired because they
were denied their regular salaries and
entitlements,” it said.
The group said that it was an act of
wickedness on the part of the government to
treat its workforce with disdain.
It also made it known that the non-payment
of workers in the state also affected market
women and other sectors in the state, adding
that the economy of the state had continued to
The statement assured workers in the state of
better days ahead if re-elected, assuring them
that the change was around the corner.
“The opportunity to effect change is here and
it will come by electing Otunba Adebayo Alao-
Akala, a tested and trusted man for the position
in 2015,”it said.
The group said that despite the incitement of
the workforce against the Alao-Akala’s
administration in the past, it ensured prompt
payment of salaries as and when due, likewise
promoted them and sponsor them for seminars
and trainings.
“Alao-Akala’s return will facilitate harmonious
relationship between the civil servants, the
retirees and they will enjoy their entitlements
without delay.”
“Our party, Labour Party, is one which places
the welfare of the civil servants as top priority
because of their roles in effective
administration of the state and success of the
government,” the group maintained.
