Blackmailing Aregbesola’s Son, Wicked Politics, Says Oyintiloye

The House of Assembly Member-elect in Obokun Constituency of Osun State, Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, has described the allegation that Kabir, Governor Rauf Aregbesola’s son, was involved in a phantom money laundering case as wicked politics.

He said the apology tendered by some national dailies for publishing such fabricated story on the purported arrest of the Governor’s son had again vindicated the governor’s son as well as exposed those behind the falsehood.

There were speculations recently that Aregbesola’s eldest son, Kabir, was arrested at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport enroute UAE for money laundering after which the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman, Gani Ola-Oluwa, issued a statement making the same allegation.

Oyintiloye said the endorsement and glorification of the fallacy by Alhaji Ola-Oluwa in his statement was the height of maliciousness, cruelty and anti- civilization.

He said if the fabrication of falsehood and mudslinging was the style of playing opposition politics, where the PDP has found itself now, then such would further make the party detestable by the populace.

The lawmaker-elect wondered why Aregbesola’s political enemy would want to drag the name of his son, a young professional with a bright future, into the mud, with a view to getting at his father by all means possible.

Describing Kabiru as a product of modest upbringing, Oyintiloye further lamented that the political ambience in the country is conditioned by Pull-Him -Down Syndrome.

“I know Kabiru too well. He is endowed, humble, productive, focused and well behaved.” He said every evil ploy to damage the good reputation of the young man and that of Ogbeni Aregbesola’s Administration would turn to naught as truth will always prevail over falsehood.

According to him, the hatred for Aregbesola, whom they considered a stumbling block in their efforts to take the people back to dark period, would not benefit anyone, saying, “The earlier they realized this fact, the better for them”.
