Bloodbath as 1 Military Officer, 3 Suspected Kidnappers die in a Rescued Operation in Kogi

Palpable fears May have gripped the family of the businessman who was abducted as one Military officer and three suspected kidnappers have been killed in a fierce gun battle between  by the Military personnel and Kidnappers

In an  “Exercise Cat Race” and  an attempt to rescued the victim, lives were said to have waisted during the exercise  in Okene, Kogi State.

Sources hinted that that the incident occurred yesterday at about 8am at Check point along Okene-Ajaokuta road in attempt to drop the ransom to the suspected kidnappers.

It was gathered that some family member one in company of the Military personnel  taken the demanded ransom to the suspected kidnappers.

An eyewitness account further disclosed that when the suspected kidnappers saw the man and the Military men,  they open gun fire on Military men which led to the death of the young officer and three suspected kidnappers.

The victims an oil mogul, Chairman  and Chief Executive of Always Petroleum  and gas Alhaji Otinau Momohjimoh was shot on his arms but currently receiving treatment in one of the private hospital in Okene.

The oil mogul was kidnapped ten days ago in Okene at about 8pm when some suspected kidnappers fully armed  adopted him in Okene.

During the exercise, one of the suspected kidnappers was captured alive.

The source further disclosed that the late young officer who just got married some months ago later died in the hospital while the rescue man who was injured during the operation was currently receiving treatment.

Items recovered from the kidnappers hide out include Charms and ammunition while the lifeless body of the late young officer was presently in a mortuary in Okene general hospital.

“Exercise Cat Race” was launched in Benue State last week by the Chief of Army Staff,  Lt. General. Tukur Buratai as a measure to check security situation in six states in north central.

When newsmen called on the Public Relation Officer of the Command Army Record,  Captain Weri Finikumor said the operation was ongoing stressing that he cannot confirmed anything yet but at the end of the exercise they will address the press.
