Goodluck Ebele Jonathan,
Olutola Onijala has advised
the Federal Government
to seek international
assistance to fight the
Boko Haram insurgency
taking place mainly in the
North Eastern part of the
Onijala, a chieftain of
the Peoples’ Democratic
Party (PDP) in Kwara
State gave the advice in
Ilorin during an interview
with newsmen. According
to the ambassador, the
Boko Haram insurgency
has become an endemic
issue, hence the need
to enlist international
cooperation to tackle the
Onijala described
the abduction of the
girls from their school as
pathetic; adding that only
God knows what their
abductors may have done
with them. “I think there
is the need for Federal
Government to seek international
cooperation
and assistance to rescue
the school girls from the
abductors,” he said.
