Boko Haram: Two Suicide Bomb Attacks Rock Yobe State

bokoMore than 10 people have been confirmed killed in two suicide bomb attacks in Potiskum, Yobe State.

The attacks took place at Dorowa, around a Vigilante Office along Gashua road in the city.

A source confirmed that more than 10 people might have been killed in the deadly attack while several others were badly injured.

This is coming a few hours after Defence Headquarters released a statement claimng to have thwarted a terrorist attack in Yobe on Sunday (yesterday) in which scores of heavily armed terrorists using women and children as shield were reportedly killed on Sunday.

Boko Haram has stepped up its nefarious activities in the last three weeks after the inauguration of President Muhammadu Buhari, killing over a hundred people in the North-eastern part of the country.

Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari has relocated the Military Command Center to Maiduguri near the theatre of war with Boko Haram terrorists in a bid to subdue and effectively root insurgency out of Nigeria territory.

The President also reached out to neighbouring countries, Chad, Niger, Benin and Cameroon to form Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) to fight the insurgents that operate across the borders.

Also, President Buhari also ordered the release of $21million of the $100 million fund to support the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) to be created in July to crush Boko Haram completely.
