The fate of embattled Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, as the Court of Appeal sitting in Lagos has adjourned indefinitely the appeal he filed against his suspension as the party’s chairman.
It was a major setback for the APC chairman and his allies.
The court said a new date would be communicated to all the parties involved in the case.
It was the final thing Oshiomhole was hanging on to thwart the National Executive Committee meeting of the party summoned for tomorrow by those opposed to him.
Deputy National Secretary of the party, Victor Giadom, acting as Secretary had summoned the meeting moments after the anti-Oshiomhole Governors had gotten an injunction from a court in Jabi, Abuja to suspend Oshiomhole.
The suspension was anchored on an alleged decision of his ward in Edo State to expel him from the party. That expulsion was arranged by his former godson turned political foe, Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State.
With his failure to get the suspension lifted, all eyes are on whether the NEC meeting would hold tomorrow and whether President Muhammadu Buhari would attend.
