In what emerged a major setback for the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, the Court of Appeal, Abuja Division has affirmed his suspension from the party.
The suspension was orchestrated by the Governor Godwin Obaseki faction of the party in the state.
Obaseki on Monday announced he had resigned from the party following his disqualification from contesting the party’s primaries.
The court verdict had sent the party into a panic mode on Tuesday evening.
It’s not clear yet the effect the suspension may have have on the arrangements towards the governorship primaries in Edo and Ondo states.
The verdict has sent members of the party’s National Working Committee into a meeting to determine how to handle the development.
