BREAKING: Court of Appeal Dismisses Secondus’ Move to Stop PDP Convention

0

The coast appears clear for the Peoples Democratic Party to go ahead with its national convention slated to hold in Abuja tomorrow, Saturday.

The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja some moments ago dismissed the appeal filed by the party’s Chairman, Uche Secondus, against his removal.

In high wire politics accentuated by disagreements between Seconds and Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike, the party had shoved Secondus aside as chairman accusing him of the non-performance.

This was a few months to the end of his tenure slated for December. Seconds would not accept anything of sort.

He challenged his removal in at the Federal High Court but lost, culminating in his appeal.

With the appeal out of the way, former senate President Iyorchia Ayu is waiting in the wings to be anointed as new chairman at tomorrow’s national convention of the party.
