Former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Dr. Olu Onagoruwa, has died.
Onagoruwa, popular human rights activist, died in the early hours of Friday at the age of 80.
He served as AGN during the regime of the goggled dictator, late General Sani Abacha.
He was also later appointed as the African representative to the body that drafted Ethiopia’s constitution in that same year.
Dr. Onagoruwa was Group Legal Adviser/ Company Secretary of Daily Times Nigeria for several years.
Onagoruwa had been hit by stroke since his son was killed by the same Abacha killer squad in 1995.
He too the matter to the Oputa Panel established by the President Olusegun Obasanjo regime in 2000, but nothing came out of it.
