While elections is reportedly going smoothly across Lagos State, WESTERN POST Correspondent reports that as at 10 am, two hours after the commencement of elections, INEC officials are yet to arrive at some polling units at Alausa.
APC Leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu polling station is reportedly one of the polling units that is yet to have INEC officials on ground.
When our correspondent spoke with an INEC official, it was gathered that the failure of INEC to pay some of its ad hoc staffs has led to some protest currently ongoing at INEC office in Lagos as those who have not been paid their allowances for the presidential election are demanding for payment before resuming at their polling units.
But that INEC is already sorting the issue out and hopefully they will returns to work soon.
Nevertheless, Lagosians are currently on ground awaiting INEC officials.
