The minister arrived the Presidential Villa around 11.33am for the meeting and left at about 12.50pm.
Kachikwu simply said “no comment” when State House correspondents approached him to talk about the outcome of the meeting.
The minister had in a powerful memo to President Buhari alleged that the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Dr. Maikati Baru, had sidelined him and NNPC Board and running the corporation unilaterally.

The confidential memo was leaked to the media prompting outcry by enraged members of the Civil Society Groups and opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Kachikwu also alleged that he had been clocked from seeing President Buhari. It was this memo and the allegations contained therein that prompted the meeting with the president on Friday.
