Kemi Adeosun has resigned her position as Minister of Finance, sources said this morning in Abuja.
However, it is unclear as of yet when exactly the resignation will take effect, as sources said she is “currently in her office working”.
But WESTERN POST learnt the resignation came in a bid by the presidency to douse the tension created by the replacement of Mr. Matthew Seiyefa with Mr Mamman Bichi as the new Director-General of the State Security Service.
The resignation, however, may be couched as having come in the wake of the controversy over Adeosun NYSC certificate.
Following the controversy, the presidency had set up a panel. The panel may have submitted a report, indicting her over alleged forgery over the NYSC exemption certificate.
