The rank of the Lagos State All Progressives Congress has been further depleted.
Prominent businessman, politician, and APC chieftain in the state, Chief Lanre Rasaq, alias KLM, has died. He was 74.
Rasaq died in the early hours of Saturday after a brief illness. He had been in intensive care unit of Reddington Hospital in Victoria Island, Lagos.
Chief Rasaq was a member of the Governor’s Advisory Council in Lagos and one of the apex leaders in Lagos East Senatorial District.
An experienced politician, he had been in politics for a long time and has held a number of party positions.
In the build-up to the current political dispensation, Chief Rasaq was in the All Nigerian Peoples Party and at one time the Deputy National Chairman of the party.
He held the traditional titles of Balogun of Epeland and Fiwagbade of Lagos.
