A late-minute goal by Mahrez has knocked Nigeria out of 2019 AFCON finals. The match ended 2-1 in favour of Algeria, scoring at the 95th of the tactical semi-final match in Egypt.
Troost-Ekong’s own goal gave Algeria the lead with Ighalo equalising with VAR-awarded penalty.
Algeria’s only AFCON championship success was in 1990.
Senegal beat Tunisia 1-0 after extra time to set up the Friday’s finals with Algeria.
Tunisia and Nigeria will now slu it out for a third place on Wednesday.
