The selection of the new Olowo of Owo has been concluded with Prince Ajibade Ogunoye scoring 14 out 15 votes to emerged the new Olowo elect.
The new Olowo of Owo will be 32rd Olowo in Ondo state.
The late Olowo died April 17, 2019, which has given room for the ruling houses to vote for the throne through a democratic means.
The Olowo in council announced the outcome of the election on Friday evening at around 6:30 pm.
Meanwhile, it was a wide celebration at the ancient town of Owo as people were rejoicing and jubilating over the new Olowo elect, Prince Ogunooye.
The people of the town trooped out in their numbers on Friday evening hearing the selection and the outcome of the election that brought the prince to the throne as the new Olowo.
