The people of Ondo State will mark beginning of a new political journey has Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN), is today being inaugurated as the sixth civilian Governor of the State.
Also, huge expectation is stirring at the new Governor to revive the economy and the fate of the people he will be leading in the next four years.
As Akeredolu is sworn in today the All Progressives Congress (APC), takes over the reins of power from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led by Dr. Olusegun Mimiko who has been the longest serving Governor of the state since the creation in 3th February 1976.
All focus is presently at the Akure Sports Stadium where the ceremony will be graced by dignitaries from far and wide throng to witness the occasion.
APC national chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, is expected to lead other party chiefs, National Assembly members, ministers and no fewer than twenty APC governors to be in attendance.
