The management of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, Ondo State has announced the immediate closure of the institution indefinitely.
In a statement issued by the institution’s Ag. Registrar, Sule, said all students should vacate the school premises on or before the close of the work on Tuesday.
However, some students of the institution said their lecturers had not been paid for as long as 5 months as well as their allowances.
The management was said to have taken the decision in order to forestall a breakdown of peace and order in the institution and to avert students’ unrest over the issue.
