President Muhammadu Buhari has picked an acting Inspector General of Police to take charge of the force as IGP Mohammed Adamu retires.
He is Assistant Commissioner of Police, Zanna Mohammed Ibrahim.
Adamu’s retirement fell due on February 1, 2021. All through that Monday, President Buhari had kept mum on Adamu’s fate and who takes over from him.
Zanna’s appointment in acting capacity means Adamu has finally proceeded on retirement
