President Goodluck Jonathan is currently making a surprise visit to the northeastern city of Maiduguri, reports say.
The visit is believed to be part of events marking the Armed Forces Remembrance Day, which is today. Details of the unscheduled visit have remain largely undisclosed but security analysts say the president will most likely dine with the Nigerian troops on war front against the insurgents.
Maiduguri is the the hotbed of the dreaded Boko Haram sect and, for this reason, security experts say, Mr. President had ignored visiting the city despite relentless criticism.
