The Bayelsa State Gubernatorial Election Petitions Tribunal has nullified the election of Governor Duoye Diri.
Following this, the tribunal ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission to conduct a fresh election within 90 days.
In a leading judgement delivered by Justice Yunusa Musa, the election was nullified based on a petition by the Advanced Nigeria Democratic Party, which argued that it was unlawfully excluded from participating in the election.
The ruling, which is already ruffling feathers, came three days after three petitions against Governor Diri were dismissed.
But there is also a minority judgement, which disagreed with the leading judgment.
