Budget Commissioner Tasks Staff on Commitment to Duty

Ogun State Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Mr. Olaolu Olabimtan has called on civil servants to inculcate the sense of commitment, brotherliness and humility in discharging their duties.

The Commissioner made the call  during a send forth ceremony organised for the out gone Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Alhaji Hassan Adekunle,  who was redeployed to the Ministry of Finance, describing him as a man of integrity and impeccable character, who displays great dexterity and confidence, which always give him good standing in every position he found himself.

Mr. Olabimtan commended him for his enviable approach to work, as well as his good relationship with subordinates, charging him to keep up the good work, as he proceeds to his new agency.

According to the Commissioner, ’’It was a privilege to work with Alhaji Hassan Adekunle, I am proud of him and happy to say that, he is indeed a brother and a man that is keen about other people’s successes”.

In her remark, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Budget and Planning, Mrs. Olufunmilayo Dada, described Adekunle as a workaholic and a teacher, charging him to continue the good work in his new posting.

She implored staffers of the ministry to be more committed and diligent in the discharge of their duties.

Responding, Alhaji Adekunle appreciated the Commissioner for his commitment and dedication during the preparation of the 2020 Budget with the Medium Term Expenditure Framework, which tremendously eased the budgetary processes, while serving as the Consultant to the Governor on Budget.

He lauded staffers of the ministry for their support and co-operation throughout his stay, enjoining them to extend same to the Commissioner, as well as the new Permanent Secretary, to ensure efficiency in service delivery.

The Director of Planning, Mr. Akinyemi Otunuga, described Alhaji Hassan, as a leader with listening ear and always willing to help.

Staffers of the ministry also took turn to speak about the significant and impactful roles he played while with them, emphasizing the harmonious and selfless leadership displayed by him.
