Oyo State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Dr. Abdul Fatai Buhari; Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Political Matters, Dele Akinleye; ALGON Chairman, Hon. Dapo Popoola; Atisbo Local Government Chairman, Hon Funmi Jacob Ogunmola, and Iseyin Local Government Chairman, Hon Saheed Adejare Yusuff Alaran, have all condoled the people of Iwajowa Local Government as well as members of the All Progressives Congress in the state over the death of Iwajowa Local Government Chairman, Barr Tajudeen Olawale Salami.
Salami died recently at the age of 50 years. Reacting to the death of the deceased, Buhari described his death as unfortunate, saying the chairman died at a time his services were mostly needed.
In his tribute, Akinleye described the death of Salami as a rude shock, adding that his loss is not doubt a monumental loss to APC.
ALGON Chairman expressed deep sorrow and conveyed his heartfelt condolences on Salami’s death.
“Salami hardly quarrelled with anybody, definitely APC will miss him, It’s only God that can give us the heart to bear the loss,” he said.
Atisbo Local Government Chairman Ogunmola on his own described late Salami as an architect of peace, a gentleman that took everything with ease.
He said the deceased would long be remembered as a diligent, humble and a community organizer.
The council boss, however, prayed God to grant the deceased internal rest and the family he left behind the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
Iseyin Local Government Chairman Alaran commiserated with the deceased family, friends and associates, urging them to take solace as death is inevitable.
“Though, his departure is deeply painful, but there is nothing we can do, its only God that can give the family the fortitude to bear the loss,” he added.
