Is this a permanent or temporary victory for former governor of Lagos State, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode?
This is because President Muhammadu Buhari has nominated Are Miftah Bolaji, Ambode’s close associate, as the representative of Lagos State at the Federal Character Commission.
The appointment is, however, subject to ratification by the Senate.
Also nominated is former candidate of Allied Peoples Movement in Ogun State in the last governorship election and an associate of former governor Ibikunle Amosun, Hon. Abiodun Akinlade, who is the nominee for the state.
Akinlade had defected from the All Progressives Congress to APM to contest the governorship poll which he lost. He later claimed to have returned to APC>
