President Muhammadu Buhari has sympathized with family and friends, the government and people of Katsina State on the demise of Abdullahi Dikko Inde, the immediate past Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS).
The Ex-Customs CG was born on May 11, 1960, in Musawa, a town in Katsina State.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President, (Media & Publicity), Garba Shehu in a statement on Friday said Buhari took note of his past services to the nation, and prayed to Allah to accept the good deeds and forgive the sins of the late Dikko Inde and grant his family the fortitude to bear the loss.
The former customs boss was probed by anti-graft agencies, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).
He was alleged to have corruptly enriched himself while in office, an allegation he denied.
he attended Government College, Kaduna in 1974 where he obtained the West African Senior School Certificate Examination in 1980.
He later obtained a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Economics and Master’s of Science Degree in Finance from the University of Dimitrov Apostle Tshenov, Svishtov, Bulgaria. He joined the Nigerian Customs Service in 1988.
