President Muhammadu Buhari took over power on Friday in Abuja, saying he would be a president of all.
“I belong to everybody, I belong to nobody,” he said.
“We face enormous challenges: insecurity, corruption and epileptic power supply. We will address them,” he said, adding that Nigerians must not lose hope.
He commended former President Jonathan for his statesmanship by conceding defeat in the March 28 presidential election.
He said Nigerians are in love with democracy and “we have today a democratically elected government in place”.
