The President of the Senate, Senator David Mark, on Thursday met with the President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari.
The meeting was said to be at the instance of the President-elect. It lasted for about 30 minutes at the residence of Buhari in Abuja.
Sources close to the meeting said the duo discussed national issues.
The meeting followed series of others the president-elect had with heads of foreign missions, top government officials and other visitors.
Mark and Buhari, though of different political platforms, are no strangers to each other. They both played major roles in military coups in the country. They both retired as generals in the Nigerian military, Buhari retired as Major-general and Mark, Brigadier-general
