In a bid to ensure hitch-free elections on March 28 and April 11, former military leader General Abdulsalami Abubakar and former South African President Thabo Mbeki on Monday met the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari.
The meeting, according to sources, was held in Kaduna.
Though details of the meeting were still sketchy on Monday afternoon, but it was learnt that it was to appeal to Buhari and APC to work towards a rancour-free poll.
The duo of Abubakar and Mbeki had on Sunday met with the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, President Jonathan in Abuja.
Also at the meeting was former Commonwealth Secretary-General, Chief Emeka Anyaoku.
