President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Asiwaju Bisi Adegbuyi as Post-Master General/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria Postal Services (NIPOST).
The appointment was announced in a one-paragraph statement signed by Mr. Bolaji Adebiyi, Director (Press), Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
With Adegbuyi’s appointment, Buhari had sidestepped Dr Richard Balang who had acting as Post-Master General of the Federation for some months now.
Adegbuyi, a lawyer and Afenifere chieftain will now be saddled with instituting reforms in NIPOST.
Minister of Communications and Technology, Chief Adebayo Shittu, had said whoever emerges as the new NIPOST PMG will be “prepared to face the business and challenge of revitalizing the post offices”.
