Former Petroleum Minister, Prof. Tam David-West, has blasted the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over its comments on the public declaration of assets by President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with WESTERN POST, he said the PDP must shut up as it has no moral right to criticise the President and the Vice President, insisting that the President is somebody that cannot lie.
According to him, given the public offices that the President has held in his life, the assets declared showed him as someone who does not give a hoot about material acquisition.
He maintained that as the most transparent politician in the country today, President Buhari has served and will continue to serve the country with integrity.
He said: “The time has come for the PDP to shut up once and for all. The Buhari that I know cannot lie about what he has declared, he is such a person that will not because of a political office compromise his integrity.
“He served as military governor of old North Eastern state now comprising of six states, Petroleum Minister, military Head of State and Chairman of the PTDF; he did not soil his hands. He is one politician that I am proud of and one that I cannot hesitate to sink and die with.”
