A building under construction collapsed on Sunday at No, 60 Odo Street, Obalende, Eti-Osa in Lagos State.
WESTERN POST was yet to confirm if there was any casualty at press time. The total number of people trapped in the building could also not be ascertained at the time of filing this report.
However, the Chief Executive Officer, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu in a swift response said: “The attention of the agency has been brought to a building under construction at the above-mentioned address, which has partially collapsed.
“The emergency response plan has been activated and all responders are en route the scene.
“Residents are to remain calm and keep away from the area,” Oke-Osanyintolu said according to a tweet by Mr Gboyega Akosile, the Chief Press Secretary to Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
