The Czech Republic international, Petr Cech, who joined the Stamford Bridge club, Chelsea, in July 2004, has been an understudy to Belgian shot stopper Thibaut Courtois, following the latter’ return from a loan spell at Atletico Madrid.
Petr Cech, 32, has managed 16 appearances this season and remains a key transfer target for top European clubs this summer.
Agent Viktor Kolar told TalkSport that “Petr still has a contract that ends in a year,”
“I can confirm, however, that we have been permitted by Chelsea to negotiate with interested parties.”
Kolar further added: “Petr has confirmed his interest to play regularly at a top club. That’s the task that we are now working on, but other than that there has not been any other change in terms of Petr Cech’s employment and the transfer period only begins on 1 July.”
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, last week, stressed his desire to keep the keeper, even if it means doing that against his wish.

“If it was me, if it was my decision, the decision is Petr to stay. That’s it. It would be my decision for Petr to stay. Even against his will? Yes,” the Portuguese said.
“Without Petr this season, I don’t think the club would be champions because he played six important matches in the Premier League. Without these points, we probably wouldn’t be champions.
“For me, decision number one, Petr will stay. After that second point, to go but not in England. The option I don’t want is for him to go to an English club.”
The Czech Republic international has won four Premier League titles, four FA Cups, three League Cups, one Champions League and one Europa League title during his 11 years with the Blues.
