A change of guards has been effected at LASACO Assurance Company partly owned by the Lagos State Government.
Director and Chairman of the company, Mrs. Aderinola Disu, has been asked to hand over to the new Chairman, Mrs. Olateju Phillips.
WESTERN POST learned Mrs. Phillips has already met with the Managing Director of the insurance company over the development and she is set to assume office anytime from now.
A letter signed on behalf of Ibile Holdings Limited by the Managing Director/CEO of the holdings, Mr. Abiodun Amokomowo, had nominated Mrs. Phillips as Director of the insurance company.
According to the letter, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu has nominated Phillips as a Director to represent Lagos State and replace Mrs. Aderinola Disu as Chairman on the Board of LASACO Assurance Plc.
Coming against the backdrop of the unconfirmed report on social media of the ill-health of Mrs. Disu, the news of the appointment of Phillips as new LASACO Chairman has created tension within the company and further widened the gulf between the two estranged friends-Disu and Phillips-.
