Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dr. Ali Ahmad has felicitated with Christians across the globe, particularly in Nigeria as they celebrate the Christmas.
In a Christmas message issued by his Special Assistant on Media, Shuaib Abdulkadir in Ilorin at the weekend, Ahmad enjoined them to take advantage of the yuletide to pray for sustenance of peace, harmony and economic stability of the nation.
The legislator described the season as an opportunity not only for the Christians but every Nigerian to further appeal for God’s intervention in the country.
He said Nigerians should pray to God to further guide and direct the present administration in its bid to move the nation to an enviable height.
The Speaker maintained that the season which marks the birth of Jesus Christ should be used by  Christians to uplift themselves religiously and spiritually.
Ahmad also challenged  Christians to always demonstrate their belief and faith in the Lord by living harmoniously with adherents of other religions.
According to him, “Christmas is the season to show love and care not only to your immediate families but your neighbours as well, regardless of their faith, belief and practice”.‎
