Committee of Unions of Tertiary Institutions (CUTI) of the Colleges of Education in Kwara State has rejected government’s order that they should return to work before they can commence negotiation.
CUTI chairman, Malam Shehu Sanni told journalists that they would not return to work until state government accede to all their demands.
According to him, both academic and non-academic staff of the three state owned colleges of Education in the state has resolved to continue with the strike action.
It would be recalled that CUTI has asked its members to embark on the strike on Monday, April 7, 2014 on seven point demands from the government.
The workers alleged non-payment of due salaries and allowances to them; poor infrastructures; improprieties and illegal sales of the college properties.
