Collation of Results Enters Second Day in Lagos

12:02 a.m.

The statewide elections in Lagos State have entered into day two, with Peoples Democraric Party and the All Progressives Congress slugging it out for seats at the state House of Assembly and governorship.

As at the time of filling this report, none of the 20 local government areas has successfully collated results, thereby forcing the state’s Resident Electoral Commissioner to shift activities into Sunday (today).

Although the gubernatorial election is very close as widely expected in the final days to the election, the candidate of the APC, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, appears to be leading with about 65% precincts reporting.

But Mr. Agbaje has told his supporters to remain calm as victory is guaranteed for them in the state.
