The Chairman of Mutual Benefit Assurance Plc and former governorship aspirant in the state, Dr Akin Ogunbiyi, has been described as a worthy ambassador of Ileogbo, an ancient town in Osun State and honoured with a meritorious award.
The chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party and six others bagged social impart awards in recognition of their meticulous services to the state, Ileogbo Community and their outstanding performances in their various fields.
Other awardees at the event which was held at Ileogbo City Hall in Ayedire Local Government Area of the state, Friday, are Engr. Abel Olanrewaju Adeleke, Mrs Motunrayo Ajayi (JP), Engr. Semiu Odeyinka, Mr. Anthony Owolabi, Evangelist Remi Osuolale and Architect Niyi Ogundiran.
Tagged “Celebration of Ileogbo Worthy Ambassadors” the event had in attendance, Oba Abeeb Adetoyese Agbaje, the Olu of Ileogbo, captain of industries and a host of other dignitaries.
Ogunbiyi who received the honour with delight reaffirmed his commitment to the development of the community.
The event came on the heel of Year 2020 Ileogbo Day.
