Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, has expressed dissatisfaction over many abandoned projects of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), in the state.
He made the displeasure on Friday while receiving the management of the commission in Akure, the state capital.
He however plead with the agency’s management to ensure quick completion of such projects.
The Governor who expressed worried over high number of abandoned NDDC projects across the length and breadth of the state. He spoke during a courtesy visit by the management of the NDDC, led by its Managing Director, Professor Nelson Braimbraifa, at the Governor’s office, Alagbaka, Akure.
He llisted some of the abandoned projects to include the Ugbo/Arogbo Bridge and Irele – Sabomi Road among others.
The Governor noted that the construction of the Araromi – Lekki road is very important to his administration, urged the NDDC to ensure that the road is constructed.
Gov Rotimi thanked the NDDC for its intervention in tackling the deadly lassa fever disease in the state, advocated for a dual carriage road to link the state capitals of the nine states making up the NDDC.
Earlier, the NDDC boss, Professor Braimbraifa commended Governor Akeredolu’s commitment to developing the state, taking a look at the projects he has been able to handle which he said ,are cynosure of all eyes.
He described the Governor as a modest man whose style of governance has continued to attract encomium across board.
