There was confusion in Ikare-Akoko, headquarters of Akoko North East Local Government of Ondo State when a 42-year-man whose name was given as Kola and said to be a school teacher reportedly beheaded 10-year-old Sola Adunbarin along Araromi Street, Ilepa, Ikare-Akoko.

A family source told WESTERN POST that there had been a search for the little girl since Tuesday morning, but it was later discovered that the girl had been allegedly beheaded by the suspect for unknown reason.

Eyewitnesses said it was a tug of war between the police and other security agents before the alleged culprit could be over powered and arrested.

The development had generated serious tension  in the ancient community as the bereaved family members were poised for war with the suspect who is said to be one of their relations.

The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in the local government, Musiliu Sogbade confirmed the incident.

Residents, however, wonder what could have prompted the man to commit such heinous crime in spite of being a teacher who is known to live well in the area.

The grieving family urged the law enforcement agentsbring the alleged culprit to book.

The suspect was said to have confessed that somebody allegedly sent him to produce a human head for money ritual.
