Controversy Trails Prophet T.B. Joshua’s Death

Controversy has continued to trails the death of the leader and founder of The Synagogue, Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Temitope Balogun Joshua.

A report by The Gazette stated that family sources who did not want to be quoted as an official statement was still being prepared confirmed his death. He was 57.

According to The Gazette, sources who did not want to be quoted said his remains had been deposited at the morgue and an autopsy would be performed forthwith.

Our correspondent could not confirm his death this time and there is no official report from his Church or family confirming his death.

The televangelist and philanthropist was reportedly to have died in Lagos on Saturday evening shortly after concluding a programme at his church.

In a swift response, the former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode referred to the report as fake, stating that the acclaimed man of God is alive and well.

“The story that is being peddled around by some fake news merchants that my dearest friend and brother, Prophet T.B. Joshua of SCOAN, is dead is FALSE!

“It is FAKE NEWS in its most hideous form. The Prophet is alive and well and he shall live long and prosper. Glory hallelujah!” he wrote.

He was born on June 12, 1963.
