Court Orders Arrest Warrant Against Osun Monarch

The duo were first arraigned on March 18, 2013 for threatening the life of one Rasheed Awoniyi, stealing 600 blocks valued at N72,000 and unlawful damage of a building foundation.

But four years after the two accused persons were granted bail, they have not appeared in court to answer the charges against them.

Speaking in court on Monday, the state counsel, Muyiwa Ogunleye, urged the court to stop the two accused persons from disrespecting judicial proceedings.

The counsel to the accused persons, Bola Abimbola, who pleaded with the court for more time for his clients, said the duo were appearing before a commission of enquiry.

The presiding judge, Magistrate Olusola Aluko, issued a bench warrant against the two accused persons.

He adjourned the case till April 20.
