A Magistrates’ Court sitting in Egor, Benin, has ordered that one Edebiri Idahosa, 18, be remanded in prison custody for allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl.
Chief Magistrate Igho Braimoh gave the order following a plea of not guilty by the accused person, who is facing a two-count charge of conspiracy to commit felony and rape.
Earlier, the police prosecutor, Insp. Omoruyi Osayomwanbor, told the court that the accused committed the offence on May 9, at No. 2B, Edebiri Street, Benin.
