Court Remands Mother and Son For Alleged Assault in Osun

A 50 years woman, Amope Adewale and her 21 years old son, Dauda Sodiq have been arraigned before an Osun State Magistrate Court sitting in Osogbo for alleged assault.
The accused persons were arraigned on a three (3) count charges bothering on assault and breach of peace.
The prosecutor, ASP Adeloye Kayode told the court that the accused persons committed the offence on August 31, about 1:00 pm, at Egbatedo area, Osogbo.
Adeloye further informed the court that the mother and son beat up one Adebisi Folashade whom was living with them seriously.
He said they made use of electrical cable to beat her up to the extent that she sustained an injury all over her body.
According to the prosecutor, the offence committed contravened sections 517, 355, and 249(D) of the criminal code CAP 34 Vol11 law of Osun State of Nigeria.
The accused persons counsel, Barr. Okobe Najite opposed the facts given by the Prosecutor and plead the court to grant the accused persons bail in most liberal term.
The Magistrate, O. O. Oladoke, asked the accused persons to be remanded in prison custody.
The case was then adjourned to Sept. 19, 2019 for ruling on bail.
